Our approach
Protecting your personal data matters to us. This website has deliberately been built to collect as little data as possible: it uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services and loads no fonts from external servers. All fonts and graphics are delivered from our own server. The only third-party content we embed is the consent management described in the following section.
Cookies and consent management
To obtain and document your consent to the use of cookies we use the Cookiebot service provided by Usercentrics A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark. When you access our website a script from this provider is loaded; in the process your IP address is transmitted to Cookiebot and processed there in truncated, anonymised form. Cookiebot stores a cookie on your device containing your consent decision so that you are not asked again on subsequent visits.
The legal basis is our legal obligation to document consent given, pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR, together with our legitimate interest in a legally compliant use of cookies pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. You can change or withdraw your decision at any time via the cookie settings on this website.
Apart from this cookie, the website itself sets no cookies – neither for analytics nor for advertising or convenience purposes.
Visiting the website (server log files)
Each time our website is accessed, data transmitted by your browser is collected automatically; this is technically necessary in order to deliver the pages:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of the request
- name and URL of the file retrieved
- volume of data transferred and access status (HTTP status code)
- website from which the request originates (referrer)
- browser used, its version and the operating system
We process this data in order to deliver the website and to ensure its stability and security. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the technically faultless and secure operation of the website pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. This data is not combined with other data sources and is not evaluated for marketing purposes. Log files are deleted after [retention period to be inserted; 7 to 30 days is usual] at the latest.
Hosting
This website is hosted by [name and address of the hosting provider to be inserted]. The provider processes the data listed above on our behalf. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
Contacting us
If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, we process the data you provide (e.g. your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and the content of your message) in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
We delete this data as soon as it is no longer required, or restrict its processing where statutory retention obligations apply.
Hire enquiries
The hire enquiry form is provided on the website of Bärenreiter-Verlag Karl Vötterle GmbH & Co. KG at www.baerenreiter.com. By clicking the corresponding link you leave this website; the privacy policy of www.baerenreiter.com applies to the data processing there.
If you send us your enquiry by e-mail, we process the data it contains in order to deal with your enquiry and to perform the hire contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Commercial and tax law require us to retain address, payment and order data for the statutory periods.
Newsletter
With your consent you can subscribe to the [t]akte newsletter, in which we inform you about news from the fields of music theatre, orchestral music, contemporary music and complete editions as well as about performance dates and new books and editions.
We use the double opt-in procedure for subscriptions: after you have signed up we send an e-mail to the address you provided asking you to confirm the subscription. If you do not confirm it, your details are blocked and automatically deleted after one month. In order to document the subscription we also store your IP address and the times of sign-up and confirmation.
The only mandatory detail for sending the newsletter is your e-mail address. All further details are voluntary and are used so that we can address you personally. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future and unsubscribe from the newsletter – using the unsubscribe link at the end of every newsletter e-mail or the contact details given in the imprint. We treat an unsubscription as a withdrawal of consent.
Service provider
The subscription form and the dispatch of the newsletter are operated by our service provider Postina, with whom we store your data for this purpose only; the server location is Germany. When you submit the subscription form, the details you have entered are transmitted directly to that provider. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
Measuring success
The newsletters contain a tracking pixel – a miniature graphic that is retrieved when the e-mail is opened and allows us to see whether and when a message was opened. Link tracking, implemented as a redirect, additionally records which links were clicked and when. This data is collected in pseudonymised form only. You may object to this analysis at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter.
Disclosure of data
Your personal data is only passed on to third parties where this is necessary in order to perform the contract (e.g. to shipping service providers), where we are legally obliged to do so, or where you have expressly consented. No transfer to countries outside the European Union takes place.
Encryption
This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS). Please note that e-mail is generally transmitted unencrypted.
Your rights
You have the following rights in respect of your personal data:
- right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, Germany.
External links
We select the external links on our website with care, but we have no influence on the content of the linked pages or on their operators’ compliance with data protection law. We therefore recommend reading the privacy policy of every website that collects personal data.
